Susan White is co-founder and President of Healing Hearts Ministry. She serves as Executive Director of Operations and a Community Awareness Educator. As a public speaker, Susan travels for the ministry educating groups on the topics of domestic violence/sexual assault awareness and prevention. She shares her own experiences of abuse that started early in life and continued on into her mid thirties. She was able to break the cycle of violence by turning her life over to the Lord. Her struggles of abuse and discouragement seemed aimless until discovering God’s purpose for her life.  Through Jesus Christ, healing and restoration has brought victory into her life and she is no longer a victim, but is a survivor. She prays to be viewed as a victor, not a victim and that her story will help others become victorious. Susan’s passion is to see the community working together for the good of the residents and victims, stopping abuse before it starts.

Susan is a successful small business owner, a member of Service Coalition of Kaufman County and is serving her third year as a director for the Terrell Chamber of Commerce/CVB. She is an active volunteer for the Chamber activities and participates in the President’s Club.

A lifelong resident of Terrell, Susan and her husband, Karl, enjoy the country living and the blessings of serving God at Round Pen Ministries. Her pride and joy are their four sons, two daughters-in-law and two precious granddaughters. Susan enjoys getting back to nature in her quiet time, spending time with family and outdoor activities. Additional pleasures include cooking, work out and scrap booking.

Susan may not be everything she wants to be, but thanks God she isn’t where she used to be and that her pain is serving a purpose. Her future continues to grow brighter. She realizes that she may not be able to change the world, but is happy that she is changed.

God brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps. He has put a new song in my mouth.
